Hi! I am Caitlyn Cardetti and a PhD Candidate in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology at Stony Brook University (SBU) in New York. I study mitochondrial RNA processing in Dr. Daniel Bogenhagen's lab. Outside of lab, I enjoy running, science communication and politics. I am an executive board member of the SBU organization, Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (GWiSE). I also volunteer with Science Advocacy Long Island (SALI), am the administrator of a neuroscience rotational curation on Twitter called @Neurotweeps, and more recently a mentor through the New York Academy of Science 1000 Girls, 1000 Futures program.
